Direct Payment partnerships
Working with you to support local people
Empower works in partnership with funding authorities, including councils and NHS Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), to provide accessible Direct Payment advice and practical support.
Every area is different. We take time to understand your priorities, the pressures on your teams and the strengths of your community. We work within your local arrangements, helping people understand their options, choose their support and manage their responsibilities.
Experience across London and the South East
Our team has extensive experience delivering Direct Payment support across health and social care in boroughs throughout London and the South East. This includes supporting disabled children and adults, older people and their families.
We understand that policies and processes vary between funding authorities. We work with your teams to make sure our advice and support reflect your local requirements, systems and ways of working.
TAILORED SUPPORTSupport that fits the way your teams work
We work closely with commissioning and social work teams to agree how our service will fit alongside yours.
Working with your local processes
We follow your agreed referral and support processes, adapting our service to your local priorities.
Keeping your teams informed
We communicate clearly and provide regular updates, so your teams know what’s happening and when their input is needed.
Information and training
We help professionals share accurate, accessible information about Direct Payments. We also offer training and awareness sessions for teams and partners.
Understanding your community
We take account of local needs, strengths and diversity, so our service reflects the community and the people who use it.
WORKING IN PARTNERSHIPMore choice for people. Support for your teams.
We help people understand their options and responsibilities, so they can arrange support that works in their everyday lives. We work closely with commissioners and local teams, responding to questions and agreeing changes when needed.
We currently work in partnership with Barking and Dagenham Adult Social Care and welcome conversations with funding authorities across London and the South East.
