Empower Personal Assistant Hub

PA Hub
coming soon

We’re developing the Empower PA Hub to connect disabled and older people with Personal Assistants who can support them at home and in their communities. PAs listed on the Hub will have completed reference checks, Right to Work verification and a DBS check, helping people choose their support with greater confidence.

We’re now inviting people interested in PA work to register ahead of the launch. If you’re kind, reliable and want to help someone live independently, we’d like to hear from you.

Opens our registration form in a new window. Registering your interest is not an offer of work.

Could PA work be right for you?

As a Personal Assistant, you’ll get to know someone and help with the things that matter to them, from getting ready for the day, to going out with friends.

  • No care experience needed

You don’t need to have worked in care to become a PA. Being reliable, listening and treating people with respect are just as important. If you’re kind and willing to learn, this could be work you enjoy.

  • Your life experience matters

If you’re aged 18 or over, you can register your interest. You might be starting work, changing careers or bringing years of experience. Your interests and personality can help you build a good working relationship with the person you support.

  • Work that could fit around your life

PA roles vary in hours and responsibilities, so there may be opportunities that suit your availability and other commitments. You’ll agree the arrangements with the person you support, making sure they work for you both.

Interested in becoming a PA?

You could help someone get ready for the day, prepare meals, get to appointments or spend time with friends. Some roles include personal care; others focus on practical help at home or getting out and about. If this sounds like work you’d enjoy, register your interest to join our growing PA community ahead of the Hub’s launch.
